Closed Flock Practices

Stonehill Sheep practices as a closed flock. New genetics are brought in by artificial insemination or occasionally by carefully selected and tested breeding stock individuals.

Scrapie-Resistance

We breed stock to promote optimal resistance to Scrapie, and test stock for genotype before sale. All of our stud rams are sold with the AA RR RR genotype.
